The CPV Consortium is a global, non-profit organization that supports the development and optimization for the long-term success of Concentrator Photovoltaics (CPV) industry in meeting the market need for low-cost, reliable solar energy. 

The Consortium strives to ensure that there is:
  • A coordinated infrastructure to support rapid market growth and technology deployment.
  • A single industry voice in addressing critical energy issues to a variety of audiences, including standards bodies and policy forums. 
  • A set of standards for safety of the systems and installations, and adherence to green deployment practices.
  • Accurate knowledge of CPV technology and deployment available to audiences globally. 



CESI is a joint stock company whose shareholders are leading national and international players in the electro energetic and electromechanical sectors. These include Enel and Terna. Since over 50 years, CESI is a provider of Testing, Certification, Consulting and Engineering services to the Electric Power System globally, including areas where large scale renewable energy investments are ongoing such as South and East Mediterranean and Middle East countries. CESI also has 30 years’ experience in R&D and production of high efficiency MJ solar cells for space applications being one of the top four worldwide suppliers with more than 60 satellites in orbit. In the last 5 years CESI has also produced terrestrial MJ cells which were extensively tested in pilots, meeting the requirements of the CPV systems. CESI also facilitates through its competencies and relationships the bankability of CPV projects.
