
Nancy Hartsoch
Director/Chairman
VP Marketing, SolFocus
Nancy Hartsoch is the Chairman of the CPV Consortium and is the VP of Marketing for SolFocus, a founding member company. She is a 25-year technology marketing veteran and is responsible for SolFocus's product marketing, collaborative partnerships, marketing services and business development activities. Prior to joining SolFocus she was CEO of Pacific Technology Group which she co-founded in 1994 in partnership with Taiwan-based Acer Labs Inc. (ALi) to provide marketing, sales and applications engineering to launch an existing product line into the global market. She was the COO and VP of Marketing and Sales for Ali USA for five years, during which time she built the sales, marketing and engineering organization, and led the company in achieving design wins at top PC manufacturers. Prior to that she was Director of Marketing for Appian Technology and spent five years as a marketing/sales consultant for venture-backed start-up companies. She began her technology marketing career at American Microsystems where she spent seven years in a variety of positions, lastly as Director of Marketing Services.
Since the formation of the CPV Consortium in 2008 she has been a Member of the Board of Directors.
Russ Jones
Director of CPV Business Development, Spectrolab, Inc.
Russ Jones is director of Business Development for Concentrator Photovoltaics at Spectrolab, a wholly owned subsidiary of Boeing. In this role, he is responsible for overall business and product strategy as well as customer interface for Spectrolab, an international supplier of multi-junction photovoltaic solar cells, solar panels, searchlights and solar simulators located in Sylmar, California. Jones holds five patents for thermal imaging devices. He has published a number of articles in engineering journals and is a presenter at national and international conferences on solar cell technology.

Dr. Andreas Bett
Director, Fraunhofer ISE
Andreas Bett is the deputy director of the Fraunhofer Institute and has more than 20 years of experience in CPV technology. He is currently heading the department “Materials – Solar Cells and Technology” of Fraunhofer ISE. This department includes the group “III-V – epitaxy and solar cells” which is one of the largest and certainly one of the most respected groups active in R&D for CPV cells, modules and components. Andreas was awarded the Becquerel Price in 2009 and the Fraunhofer Prize in 2010 for his achievements in III-V based CPV, has been the general chair of the International Conference on Concentrating Photovoltaics CPV-6 in Freiburg, 2010 and involved in organizing CPV sessions during several IEEE and European PVSEC conferences, and is an active member in the IEC TC82 WG7, which develops standards for CPV technology. He has published more than 200 papers in this field and his current research interests are related to multi-junction cell development, CPV module development, new characterization and testing procedures and reliability issues.

Vahan Garboushian
Founder & CTO, Amonix
Vahan Garboushian is the Founder, Chief Technology Officer, and Chairman of the Board of Directors at Amonix, Inc. Mr. Garboushian has pioneered the development of concentrated photovoltaic (CPV) technology since launching Amonix in 1989; his passion, vision, and leadership over the past 20 years have made Amonix the most efficient, reliable CPV technology on the market today.

Hansjörg Lerchenmüeller
Managing Director of Soitec's Solar Energy Business Unit
Hansjörg Lerchenmüller graduated in Physics at the University of Karlsruhe, Germany. Following his studies, he worked at the university’s Institute of Applied Physics as Scientific Officer. Before he became Senior VP Customer Group of Soitec´s Solar Energy business unit, he worked for ten years at the Fraunhofer Institute for Solar Energy Systems ISE in Freiburg, Germany. His duties at ISE included the coordination of the solar power plant business and the responsibility for technology management. He built up and managed the Marketing Network of Fraunhofer for six years. Since 2003, Hansjörg Lerchenmüller has advanced the market entry of Soitec´s Concentrix technology. He was among the initiators of the CPV Consortium, a globally acting industry organization. Since its formation in 2008 he is a Member of the Board of Directors.

Dr. Martha Symko-Davies
Research Senior Supervisor, NREL
Martha received her PhD in Materials Science Engineering from University of Denver and has worked for National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL) since her graduation in 1997. While at NREL, she has held a variety of positions including: Photovoltaic Manufacturing Technology Technical Manager, High Performance PV Project Manager, and her current position as Research Senior Supervisor. In addition, she has been the Department of Energy (DOE) Solar Program Review Chair, the SPIE Energy Symposium Chair, IEEE PVSC Organizing Committee Member, and APS Member. She has authored and co-authored over 30 publications pertaining to photovoltaic’s industry in general, as well as specific papers on Concentrative Photovoltaic technology. Martha is an excellent candidate for the Board of Directors for the CPV Consortium due to her longevity of experience with NREL, the United State’s primary laboratory for renewable energy and energy efficiency research and development.
